After completing her studies in scenography at Québec's theater conservatory (1999), Yasmina Giguère designs and realizes for different productions, namely for Théâtre des Fonds de Tiroirs (TFT). She touches many visual aspects of theater like set, costumes, props, lighting, make-up and posters That young company has achieved, over 10 productions, very good reviews and audience success. Recently, Yasmina Giguère has been nominated for costumes for a 8 hour theater epic play produced by TFT, Vie et mort du roi boiteux at summer of 2004.
She worked for the first time with Robert Lepage in 2003 on The Busker's Opera, now touring internationaly. 1984 is the second project she does with him. Yasmina Giguère subscribes totally to M. Lepage's way of working, where research and experimentation play a major role in the developpement and designing process.
