| JACQUES COLLIN - Projections Designer An award winning designer, Jacques Collin has been involved since 1979 with various Canadian artists who have sought his experitse in the use of new communications technologies for the stage. As one of the founding members of the multimedia performance group l'Écran Humain in 1980, he has worked with composers Marcelle Deschênes, Alain Thibault and Jean Corriveau. After leaving l'Écran Humain in 1985, he embarked on a number of succesful collaborations with Marcelle Deschênes and Michel Lemieux. Since 1989, Jacques has collaborated with Robert Lepage on Needles And Opium, The 7 Streams Of The River Ota, Elsinore, The Geometry Of Miracles, Jean-Sans-Nom and the critically acclaimed The Far Side Of The Moon. He is presently working on Lepage's newest Solo The Andersen Project. In 2000, he produced the visuals for Planète Baobab (based on St-Exupéry's The Little Prince) for the Arsenal à Musique Company, a concert for electro-acoustic soloists and symphony orchestra, and with the collaboration of Lionel Arnould in 2004, the projections for Constantinople, a 90 minute multi-media concert composed by Christos Hatzis for The Gryphon Trio and soloists Maryem Tollar and Patricia O'Callahan. |
